We are the fifth gospel.
We are to be a living incarnation of the four gospels, in harmony with them, revealing them to a world that does not know God.
私たちは5番目の福音です。
私たちは4つの福音と調和して、神を知らない世に示している福音の生きた生まれ変わりです。
If Jesus is our leader (Lord), then we follow Him. And if we stop following Him, then He ceases to be our leader (Lord).
イエスが私たちのリーダー（主）であるなら、従います。イエスに従うことをやめるなら、イエスは私たちのリーダー（主）ではなくなります。
Presenting Jesus to a Hostile World:

We must get our lives right if we are to represent Christ faithfully and to impact the world powerfully.
キリストを誠実に表し、世に力強く影響を与えようとするのなら、私たちは人生を正さなければいけません。
We must die to ourselves if we are to truly live the Christian life. Because it’s only when we die to ourselves that Jesus can truly live in us.
本当のクリスチャン人生を送りたいなら、己を捨てなければなりません。なぜなら己を捨てたときに初めてイエスが本当に私たちのうちに住んでくださるからです。
God routinely uses the least likely, the most unsuitable, and the weakest people
to do his greatest work.
神はいつも決まっていちばん意外な人、いちばんふさわしくない人、いちばん弱い人を
最も偉大なはたらきをするために用います。
Love is the Christian trump card.
It’s the big difference between religion and faith, between knowing about God and knowing God, between being a fan of Jesus and being a disciple of Jesus.
愛はクリスチャンの切り札です。宗教と信仰、神について知ることと神を知ること、
イエスのファンになることとイエスの弟子になることには大きな違いがあります。
Our hearts to confess Christ – to share Jesus with others – should be motivated by two things:
1. Our love for God and His Word.
2. Our grief and sadness over those who are lost.
イエスを告白する－人とイエスを分かち合う思いは、2つのことが動機となるべきです。
1. 神の御言葉への愛
2. 失われた者への悲しみ
We also need a touch of the supernatural.
しかしまた超自然的な力も必要です。
In a nutshell, discipleship means that because of our love for God we live a life of contagious joy, we share Him with others, not counting the cost, by the power of the Holy Spirit in the unity of the Christian family.
一言で言えば、弟子訓練とは、私たちが神を愛しているがゆえに人から人へと移りやすい喜びのある人生を生きる、クリスチャン家族とつながり、聖霊の力によって、伴う犠牲のことを考えずに人と神を分かち合うということです。
