Jesus’Resurrection Gives Us Assurance
イエス様の復活は私達に確信をもたらします

Introduction

There are many things that make us feel unsafe and insecure. Ideas, businesses and products are built around this sense of insecurity. We take great pains to lessen the impact or remove the sting of our fears.
私たちに危険や不安を感じさせるものはたくさんあります。様々なアイディア、ビジネス、製品が不安を与えています。私たちはそれらの影響を受けないために、そして恐怖心を取り除くために、大変な苦労をしています。

Old age 老後	pension 年金

Despite advances in modern medicine and new technologies, our lives seem more comfortable but are in NO way eliminated our insecurities. In some cases, they paint for us a dystopian future and a world in chaos.
現代医療と新しい技術の進化により、私たちの生活は確かに便利になったように思えますが、不安は決して取り除かれていません。場合によっては、悲惨な未来やカオスに落ちた世界を思い描かせます。

It’s good to know that the most important event in history gives us the assurance we need not only in this life, but also in the one that is to come. The Resurrection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ ASSURES us. It helps us prepare in facing uncertain future and gives us motivation to live our life in the present.
しかし幸いなことに、歴史上最も重要な出来事が、今の人生においても死後の人生においても必要な確信を私達にもたらして下さいます。それは、私たちの主であり救い主であるイエス様の復活です。不明瞭な未来に立ち向かうための備えと「今」を生きるための意欲をもたらして下さいます。

In what way does Jesus’ Resurrection Assure us?
では、どのようにしてイエス様の復活は私達に確信をもたらすのでしょうか？

1. It assures us that God fulfills His word. He is trustworthy.
   神様はご自分の約束を果たされると私たちに保証して下さいます。神様は信用できる神様です。

Concerning the Resurrection:
復活に関して:

1. OT prophecies fulfilled
   旧約聖書に書かれたことが実現した

For as yet they did not know (understand) the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.
John 20:9

この時まで、イエスは必ず復活すると書いてある聖書のことばを、私たちはまだ理解していなかったのです。

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol (the place of the dead), Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see
corruption.
Psalm 16:10

神は私を死人の中に置き去りにせず、墓の中で朽ち果てるのをお許しにならないからです。

2. Jesus’ predictions fulfilled
   イエス様の予言が実現した

He predicted His own suffering, death and resurrection at least three times.
イエス様は少なくとも３回、自分の苦しみ、死、復活について予言しました。

• Matthew 16:21; 17:23; 20:19; 26:32;

God speaks and we believe Him. We believe that what He says is true. He has a proven track record of truth‐telling. It matters because our life depends on it. Our future, our hopes and dreams depend on the reliability of His word and of His promises.
神様が話し、私達はその言葉を信じます。そして、神様が仰ることは真実であると信じます。神様は真実を話し続けてこられたという証拠があります。それはなぜ重要かというと、私たちの命はその言葉に頼っているからです。私たちの未来、希望、夢は神様の言葉や約束に頼っています。

2. It assures us that there is life after death.
   死んだ後に永遠の命があることを私たちに保証して下さいます

Some theories about what happens when we die:
私達が死ぬときに関しては様々な理論があります。例えば

• Annihilation – death is the end of everything;
  全滅　死とは全てが終わる事である
• Soul sleep – no consciousness; and,
  「魂の眠り」　意識がない状態
• Reincarnation – endless cycle of birth and rebirth
  再生　終わりのない生まれ変わり
• Resurrection – We remain conscious after death and are given a new kind of body (spiritual body).
  復活　死んだ後にも意識があり、新しい体、つまり精神的な体が与えられる

1. It’s a historical fact.
   それは歴史的な事実です。

History is reckoned based on the life of Christ. Both internal evidence (biblical) and external evidence (available literature written close to the time of Jesus and the apostles) prove the existence and the historicity of the claims concerning Jesus Christ.
歴史はキリストの人生から起算されます。内的な証拠、つまり聖書に書かれている事や、外的な証拠、つまりキリストや弟子たちが生きていた当時の文献も、イエスキリストが実在した事やその史実性を証明しています。

2. It’s a spiritual reality.
   それは精神的な真実です。

Other than the historical fact of the resurrection, the spiritual reality it conveys shouldn’t be ignored:
復活の歴史的事実の他に、精神的な真実も決して無視できません。

1. There is a Creator God who made us.
   私達を創ってくださった創造主である神様が存在します。

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27

このように人間は、天地を造った神の特性を持つ者として、男と女とに創造されました。

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Genesis 2:7

やがて、主なる神が人を造る時がきました。まず、地のちりで体を造り上げ、それにいのちの息を吹き込んだのです。そこで人は生きた人格を持つ者となりました。

Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Psalm 100:3

主が神であるとはどんなことか、悟ることができるように努めなさい。主は私たちをお造りになりました。私たちは神の民、その牧場の羊です。

2. We will give an account to Him someday.
   私たちはいつか神様に自分の人生について説明する時がきます。

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13‐14

これが私の最終的な結論です。神を恐れ、その命令に従いなさい。これこそ人間の本分です。 神は私たちのすることをすべて、隠れたこともすべて、善も悪も、みなさばくのです。

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

このように、一人一人が、神の前に申し開きをすることになります。

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13

神は、人がどこにいようと、すべての人の心を見抜かれるお方です。神に造られたもので、神の目から隠れおおせるものは一つもありません。今も生きて、すべてを見抜かれる神の前に、私たちは裸のままさらけ出されているのです。私たちはこの方に対して、自分のなしたすべてのことを弁明しなければなりません。

3. God judges sin and yet He is willing to forgive and save the sinner.
   神様は罪を裁きますが、進んで罪を許し、罪人を救ってくださいます。

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:20‐21

こういうわけで、私たちはキリストの大使です。神様が、私たちの口を通して語りかけてくださるのです。キリストが懇願しておられるかのように、キリストに代わって、あなたがたにお願いします。どうか、差し出された愛を拒まず、神様と和解してください。 それは神様が、罪のないキリストに私たちの罪を負わせ、それと引き換えに、私たちに恵みを注いでくださったのですから。

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
1 Peter 3:18

キリストも苦しまれました。罪を犯したことのない方であったにもかかわらず、私たち罪人のために死なれたのです。それは、肉においては死んでも、霊においては生かされて、私たちを神のもとに導くためでした。

3. It has practical implications.
   実際的な意味があります。

1. There is meaning and purpose to life because of the resurrection.
   イエス様の復活により、人生には意味と目的がもたらされます。

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4

すなわち、罪を愛する古い性質は、キリストの死によって、キリストと共に葬り去られました。そして、父なる神が、栄光の力でキリストを復活させてくださった時、私たちはキリストの新しいいのちを与えられ、そのいのちに生きる者となりました。

Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:11

ですから、あなたがたの古い罪の性質も、罪に対して死んだもの、反応しなくなったものとみなしなさい。そして、その代わりに、私たちの主イエス・キリストに結ばれ、神に対して生きる者、神の御声に敏感に応答する者となりなさい。

2. There is power for living because of the resurrection.
   イエス様の復活を通して、生きる力がもたらされます。

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
Philippians 3:10

私は今、ほかのことはいっさい考えず、ただこのことだけを求めています。つまり、真にキリストを知ること、キリストを復活させた力を、この身をもって体験すること、そして、キリストと共に苦しみ、また死ぬとはどういうことかを知ることです。

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13~14, 18

それから、皆さん。クリスチャンが死んだらどうなるか、よく知っておいてほしいのです。悲しみのあまり取り乱して、何の希望もない人たちと同じようにならないためです。 私たちは、イエスが死んで復活されたことを確かなことと信じています。ですから、イエスが帰って来られる時、すでに死んで世を去ったすべてのクリスチャンを、神が共に連れて来てくださると信じてよいのです。ですから、このことをわきまえて、互いに慰め合い、励まし合いなさい。

3. It assures us that the basis of our faith is sure.
   私たちの信仰の基礎が確かなものであること保証して下さいます。

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
Romans 6:5

私たちがキリストに結び合わされて、キリストといっしょに死んだのなら、やがてキリストと同じように復活するのです。

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

しかし、これだけは言わせてください。私たちが伝えたとおり、あなたがたが、キリストの死からの復活を信じているのなら、なぜ、「死んだ者は二度と生き返らない」と言ったりする人が出るのですか。 もし死者の復活がないなら、キリストは今も死んだままのはずです。 もしそれが事実なら、私たちが宣べ伝えていることは無意味であり、あなたがたの信仰も価値のないものとなるのです。 そして、私たちは、大うそつきということになります。なぜなら、もし死者の復活がないのなら、神はキリストを復活させることはなかったはずですが、私たちは、「神がキリストを墓からよみがえらせた」と主張しているからです。 もし死者が復活しないのなら、キリストも復活しなかったでしょう。 そして、もしキリストが復活しなかったのなら、信仰はむなしく、あなたがたは今も罪の中にいるのです。 また、すでに死んだクリスチャンは、みな滅んでしまったことになります。 もしクリスチャンであることが、この世の生活でしか価値がないのなら、私たちほどみじめな者はありません。

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.
Hebrews 6:18‐19

神は、約束と誓いの両方を与えてくださいました。神は偽りを言われることがありません。そのため、救いを求めて神のもとに逃れて来る人たちは、確かな保証をいただいて、新たな勇気を奮い起こすことができます。そして、神の救いの約束を、少しの疑いもなく確信できるのです。 自分は必ず救われるという確かな望みは、私たちのたましいにとって、信頼できる不動の錨です。この望みこそ、神聖な幕の内側（天にある神の住まい）におられる神と私たちを結び合わせるものです。

Conclusion
最後に

Jesus’ Resurrection Gives Us Assurance.
イエス様の復活は私達に確信をもたらします。

• It assures us that God fulfills His word
  神様はご自分の約束を果たされる事を私たちに保証して下さいます
• It assures us that there is life after death
  死んだ後に永遠の命があることを私たちに保証して下さいます
• It assures us that the basis of our faith is sure
  私たちの信仰の基礎が確かなものであること保証して下さいます

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58

愛する皆さん。このように将来の勝利は確実なのですから、しっかり立って、動揺することなく、いつも、主の働きに熱心に励みなさい。なぜなら、復活は確かであり、主のための働きが決してむだに終わらないことを、あなたがたは知っているからです。
