Today I would like to share with you why the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the #1 event for changing the world.
今日は皆さんと、イエスキリストの復活は何故１番の世界を変える出来事なのかというのを分かち合いたいと思います。
The first 8 events were truly groundbreaking, either in a really good way, or a really bad way. Half of these major events involve the deaths of many people. And that is so catastrophic. But the cold hard truth is that all of those people would have died at some point anyway.
初めの8つの出来事は本当に画期的で、とても良いか、とても悪いかのどちらかです。これらの出来事の半分は多くの人々の死を巻き込んでいます。そしてとても壊滅的です。
しかし、現実は、これら全ての人々は、いずれにせよどこかの時点で亡くなっていたでしょう。
The other half involve improved living conditions. And this is a really wonderful thing. But the cold hard truth is that even with improved living conditions, all of those people would have died at some point anyway.

It’s only in the death of Christ that we see the defeat of sin.

It’s only in the resurrection of Christ that we see the defeat of death.
死に打ち勝つことができるのは、キリストの復活だけです。
It’s only in these Easter events that we see man made right with God.
人が神と正しい関係になれるのは、これらのイースターの出来事だけです。
Nice message. But does the resurrection really change the world? Millions go about their lives without knowing the resurrection – eating and drinking, making money, getting married and having families, travelling, having fun. Millions go about without acknowledging God at all. So can we really say that the resurrection changes the world? Can we really say that the world needs the change that the resurrection brings?
良いメッセージです。でもその復活が本当に世界を変えるのでしょうか？
何百万人は復活を知らなくても食べたり、飲んだり、お金を作ったり、結婚したり、そして家族を持ち、旅行したり、楽しい事を自分達の生活に取り入れています。
何百万人は、全く神の存在無しでも生活しています。だから復活が本当に世の中を変えると言えるでしょうか？私達は復活によって世界が変わる必要があると本当に言えるのでしょうか？
I meet people all the time. In the church here, in the classroom, in society, I meet all manner of people. And some of them really seem to have their act together. Good people with good lives. And it seems that without God, without knowing the resurrection of Christ, they’re fine.
私はいつも人と会います。この教会、教室、社会の中で、私は全て人々の様子を目にかけます。
そしてある人達の生活は本当に上手く行っているように見えます。良い生活をしている良い人達です。
そして、それは神なしに、イエスキリストの復活の意味を知らなくても彼らの生活は大丈夫に見えます。
But then I go beyond meeting them and I get to know them. And I start to see the hurts and the hardship and loss. In every life – every life – there is hardship and there is pain and there is loss.
Because we all live in the same broken world. Sickness, financial hardship, selfishness, deceit, unfaithfulness, loneliness, physical pain, anger, depression, alcoholism, bitterness, dejection, suicide, distrust, confusion – it’s a long list.
でも、私は彼らに会うだけではなく彼らを知るようになります。そうしたら痛みや苦難、喪失が見え始めます。
どんな人生にも苦難はあり、苦痛があり、喪失があるのです。
何故なら私達はみな同じ壊れた世界に生きているからです。病気、経済的な苦難、自分勝手、虚勢、不誠実、孤独、肉体的苦痛、怒り、憂鬱、アルコール依存症、苦しみ、哀しみ、自殺、疑い、混乱、と長くリストがあります。
No-one is perfect. No relationship is perfect. No job is perfect. No family is perfect.
Sin taints every family, every job, every relationship, every person.
だれも完璧ではありません。完璧な人間関係などありません。完璧な仕事などありません。完璧な家族などありません。
罪は全ての家族、全ての仕事、全ての人間関係、全ての人を汚します。
Everyone needs to deal with sin. 誰もが罪を対処する必要があります。
Everyone needs the love of God. 誰もが神の愛を必要としています。
The Easter miracle brings both. イースターの奇跡はその両方をもたらします。
In fact the Easter miracle is described in the Bible as being a demonstration of God’s love for the people that He created.
実際にイースターの奇跡は神が創造した人々のために神の愛の立証が聖書に示されています。
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
ローマの信徒への手紙5:8しかし、まだ罪人であった時、わたしたちのためにキリストが死んで下さったことによって、神はわたしたちに対する愛を示されたのである。
1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
ヨハネの手紙一3:16 主は、わたしたちのためにいのちを捨てて下さった。それによって、わたしたちは愛ということを知った。
It is by the death of Jesus Christ that sin is defeated. This is what we remember on Good Friday (and why Good Friday is called Good Friday).
イエス・キリストの死によって罪が打ち負かされます。これが私達がグッドフライデーを覚えておく事です。（そしてなぜグッドフライデーはグッドフライデーと呼ばれるのと言う事も）
It is by the resurrection of Jesus Christ that death is defeated. This is why we celebrate today and this is why Christians rejoice every day.
イエス・キリストの復活によって死が打ち負かされます。これは今日、私達が祝う理由です
そしてこれが毎日クリスチャン達が賛美する理由です。
And both of these events (the death and the resurrection of Christ) are the result of this enormous love that God has for all people.
そしてこれらの出来事は（死とイエスの復活）神が全ての人の為になさった偉大な愛の結果です。
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
ヨハネによる福音書3:16神はそのひとり子を賜わったほどに、この世を愛して下さった。それは御子を信じる者がひとりも滅びないで、永遠の命を得るためである。
So now, if the resurrection of Christ has defeated sin and death, why do we still have sin and death?
それでは今、もしキリストの復活は罪と死に打ち勝つのならなぜ私達はまだ罪と死があるのでしょうか？
Choice.
選択です。
The love of God and salvation from sin is not thrust upon us. It’s not automatic. It must be received to be effective.
神の愛と罪からの救いは受け入れなければ効果がないのです。それは自動的ではないのです。
有効である為には受け取らなければならないのです。
This is what the apostle Peter explained to the crowds on the day of Pentecost.
これが使徒ペテロがペンテコステの日に説明したものです。
Acts 2:36-39
36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
使徒言行録2:36-39 だから、イスラエルの全家は、この事をしかと知っておくがよい。あなたがたが十字架につけたこのイエスを、神は、主またキリストとしてお立てになったのである」。

And this is what I say to you today. Jesus Christ was crucified for your sins and to bring you into eternal life (which starts now, not when you die).
そして、これは今日私が皆さん言うことです。イエスキリストはあなたの罪とあなたへ永遠の命をもたらすために身代わりに彼の死によって（犠牲になり）私達に与えてくださったのです。（今から始めるのです、あなたが死んだ時ではなく）。
And if you want to be free from your sins and want to receive the Holy Spirit of Jesus and live with the love of God, then repent from your sins and be baptised into Jesus Christ.
そして、罪から自由にされ、イエスの聖霊を受け入れ、神の愛とともに生きたいと思うなら、罪を悔い改めて、イエス・キリストの洗礼を受けてください。
You can effect this today by making a decision to turn from sin and giving your life exclusively to Jesus. You can do this by praying a prayer of faith, accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and, in place of baptism for today, receiving, along with the rest of the church, the elements of bread and grape juice which symbolise the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Eating and drinking these means you become one with Christ, your sins are forgiven and salvation is given to you.
今日あなたの罪から立ち返りあなたの人生をイエスキリストに捧げる決断をすることによってあなたはこれを行う事が出来ます。あなたは信仰の祈りを祈ることによって、イエスキリストをあなたの主と認めそして救いと今日、洗礼の場として、受け入れ、教会の一員となりイエスキリストの身体と血を象徴するパンと葡萄ジュースを頂く事が出来ます。
食して飲むというこれらの意味は、あなたはキリストと共になるという意味で、あなたの罪は赦されそして救いがあなたに与えられるということなのです。
I’m going to say a prayer of salvation now. On this Easter day, if you want to start your life over, be born again in Christ, pray this prayer with me in your heart, then come forward with everyone else for prayer and to receive the elements of communion.
今から私は救いの祈りを言います。
このイースターの日に、人生をやり直したい、キリストにあって生まれ変わりたいなら、心の中でこの祈りを祈ってください。そしてみなさんといっしょに前に出て祈り、聖餐式を受けてください。
Sinner’s Prayer/救いの祈り
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
天の神様、イエスの御名によって御前に来ます。私は自分が罪人であることを認めます。私の罪、私の今までの人生を悔いていますから、どうかお赦しください。
I believe that Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
あなたのたった一人の御子、イエス・キリストがカルバリーの十字架で尊い血を流し私の罪のために死んでくださったことを信じます。
You said in Your Holy Word, that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
ローマ10：9の御言葉に、もしあなたの口でイエスを主と告白し、
あなたの心で神はイエスを死者の中からよみがえらせてくださったと信じるならあなたは救われると書いてあります。
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.
今、イエスが私の魂の主であると告白します。私の心で神はイエスを死者からよみがえらせてくださったと信じます。たった今、イエス・キリストを私自身の救い主として受け入れます。御言葉のとおり、今、私は救われました。
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I might live under your guidance and receive the full measure of blessings that you intend for me.
イエス様、私を罪から救ってくださる無限の恵みに感謝します。あなたの恵みは何でもできるように導いてくれるのではなく、いつも悔い改めに導いてくださいます。ですから、主、イエス様、栄光と誉れを私自身にではなく、あなただけに現すことができるよう私の人生を変えてください。
あなたの聖霊で私を満たしてください。そうすればあなたの導きの下に生き、私への祝福を十分に受けることができます。
With all my heart I desire to love You Father God, follow You Lord Jesus, and be filled every day with Your Holy Spirit.
心から私は父なる神であるあなたを愛し、主イエスであるあなたに従い、あなたの聖霊に日々満たされたいと願っています。
Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life.
イエス様、私を救ってくださり、永遠の命を与えてくださってありがとうございます。
